tecumseh 6hp powersport governor

so with my kart I recently got came a 6hp Tecumseh power sport engine. the linkage is from gov to throttle is missing. should I replace or fab up a linkage or just bypass it altogether for now? I wont get too crazy with the throttle if I bypass it..

The problem is you can't safely just bypass the governor. If it's intact, use it; if you don't wish to use it, it's best to remove the internals or you may end up replacing the engine when the internals self destruct
