Hi Guys, I was working on my Tecumseh throttle lincage and governer system. I remover the spring, and the other 2 linkages together with the air filter box. Working on the grass outside my barn. I had not re-assembled any parts as it got too dark, so I left the parts on the ledge at the back of the cart. Unfortunatelly, my wife asked the neighbor to push the cart back into the barn, and not knowing I was working on it, the linkage and airfilter screw fell off somewhere in the grass. He then mowed the area, I tried using a magnet pickup tool but am afraid these parts have been hit with the blades and are nowhere to be found now. I have 2 questions,
1. Is there anyway to purchase these parts again, and where?
2. Should I reroute the throttle cable straight to the carb butterfly valve and bypass the governer all together.
The reason I remover the throtle linkage in the first place was because it seemed to slow down my RPMs when riding up hills and I thought I could make some adjustments to correct that problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I am also looking for an adjustable brake cable as the old one is so stretched it has washers to take up trhe slack. It is a Yerf Dog 32001 with some minor modifications. I know its not a home made cart, but I am working to improve it as Building from scratch is a little over my head. I hope to build one from scratch once I work out the kinks on the one I have now and learn from this experience. Please help with any ideas that I could use, thanks Lee in VA.::confused::mad2:
