tecumseh 10 hp idle prob

Hey guys New to Karting and picked up a streaker 2 seater go kart with a tecumseh 10 hp electric start engine for 100 bucks! Well when you crank up the engine it's already idling. I checked the throttle cable and it is not to tight. Any suggestions? Thx in advance!

Ummmmmm.....isn't that what it's supposed to do??????

I mean idling high to where the clutch is already engaging making the kart take off without giving it gas

Turn the idle speed adjustment screw anti-clockwise until the clutch no longer engages.
