Tecumseh 0h65 won't start

Yesterday I decided to go through thick bush for the first time. The serf dog 3205 bogged out. Everything is original down to the 6.5 hp Tecumseh. The problem is it won't restart. It seems as if the cllutch is trying to engage when I pull the cord. It also is a little hard to push. Any ideas. Did I throw a rod? the rev limiter hasn't been touched. Carb and plug is new. The string pulls easily.

Oh yeah comet 30. Normally does 27. I noticed it was a little slow to go into overdrive when I first cranked it

Try to disassemble and clean the clutch

And lubricate it

Remove the chain and start the engine that's the fastest way to trace the source of the issue

i would guess that the torque converter is the issue here. take it apart and inspect.

tap the clutch with something hard. should cause it to disengage.

I agree, it sounds like your torque converter is just malfunctioning.

I love u guys. Ok, that was a bit strong. All I can say is this site is awesome. My kart is running after ur help. I also watched a you tube video on cleaning the comet. Results are endless with the Internet.
