yeah i know tec sucks. its runs as good as it did before. but this is probably like the I/C version. its cast iron.

Did it even smoke purple/blue when running?

not really any smoke. did see a few blue flames out of the exhaust

Heh, guess that's one good Tecumseh, if you get it workin.

Blue flames are normal, just make sure it isn't continuous (do you have the right lash? You don't wanna burn a valve)

Oil can go through the vent if the motor was on its side and in the carb, filling the chamber.

valve cover vent? its not connected to the carb. i dont really care. it runs and thats all i want

Heh... it's supposed to. But older ones didn't.
