Mounted my drive pulley from my tav2 kit today onto my Tec H60. Didn't have much shaft left to put the second half of the pulley on. It does grab the jetway but only by a 1/8" to 1/4". Hope this is enough, anyone else had this issue?

PTOs used to be a bit longer...

It'll work with as little as that, but if you can find (make) a spacer (roundstock, 3/4" throughhole for the bolt.. best 1/4" keyed) just to reduce the noise a bit you can sturdy this up a bit.

Brass bushing on drive shaft disintegrated during 15min test run. I got all of my kart finished to give her a try. Everything worked well except when I was tuning the new carb after I was done. When I gave it throttle all of the sudden I say a piece of something fly off the engine and some brass shavings on the belt. Hit the throttle once more and the last chunk of brass bushing flew off. Why would this happen, any idea? Faulty bushing? Here is a picture of my tav2 clone. The two flat faces are not perfectly inline. Other than that all is good.

Get the flat faces in line and make sure the top width of the belt is 3/4" and the outer circumference matches the outer circumference specified by driven unit diameter and center to center distance in the 'comet belt chart'. Also make sure the belt is asymmetric if you have the 30 series.

I'd also make sure I had everything lined up/installed properly on the drive unit.

From the few cases we have seen, the drive unit bushing disintegrating is usually because the belt is too short. I have seen very old bushings that have worn down and one that had cracked, but none personally have blown up on me yet.

How tight is the belt when it's installed? Can you make a gap between the belt and the brass Bush? I think mine is going to destroy bushes as well as I think my belt is too tight also.

That doesn't really look like damage from too tight a belt. Looks like it was probably assembled incorrectly. Usually if it's too tight you will see very small brass dust blowing off of the drive unit with it's running. Yours looks like a mechanical bind of some sort.
