If your kart needs to idle at an rpm enough to fully engage your torque converter then you have a problem with fuel traveling through your carb. The kart does creep slowly with a torque converter but should not be running. How fast does it idle?

see the thing is that when i have to choke half off the kart will gas up then take off. thats how i have to sart or else it won't run. should i change the emulsion tube and jetting? right now it's idling with the screw half in so id say about 1300 rpm? i had problems with it not idling when i would lay off the throttle. this happened right after started modifying the enigne. right now it has gx200 carb with gx140 emulsion tube and 95 jet. also i heard depending on how much you tighten the spring depend on how the torque converter shifts? is this true?

well i started it up and it was ok with the choke fully on. but when i took it off the the thing took off with out me lmao. i had jump on it quickly to kill it. thank god for the kill switch i wired out. honestly, the last thing i need is a run away kart. it took off fast. what could cause it to do that? it must have idled up to 3000 rpm. ther must be something i could do. i noticed that on the that steel rod that connects the butterfly valve to the governor arm had a small spring. i took it off would that make the difference?
