TAV 30 on 11hp?

I found a great deal on a briggs 11hp, I have a TAV 30 thats rated to 8hp would there be any problems if I put it on a 11hp?

stock motor??? goverend??? if yes,maybe tav would work,depends on tire size,gearing,wtg, and what your using it for.......

Yup, governed, 15" tires 10th sprocket, 54 main sprocket

Try it. The only problem I can see is eating belts a little fast.

I have HEARD (key word there) that comet 30 series can handle more power than its rated too, but not sure how much that is, or if its true at all. I know a member had problems with a GTC (not comet) 30 series on a 9hp. maybe blaz has some more info on the subject.

i would try it, worst case scenario you need a new belt, but have an extra 11hp engine! (excellent deal on that engine, if you got the cash to spend, get it!)

If it doesn't work, you could sell the genuine Comet TC and use that towards a 40 series.
