TapaTalk vs. Browser

Well I've been seeing a lot of member using tapatalk to access this site on their phones and I was wondering does it work better than just going on your phones browser?

I would say it depends on the browser, i have a browser that dosnt remeber anything, no cookies cache history, not even autofill text. So its pretty fast. Safari is ok, but compaired to tAptalk, its slow. Theres also another factor in this, funtionallity. I can be in the thread i want faster than i could get there on a reg. browser. I can also post pictures, vidio, links, youtube stuff. You just cant do all of that on safari(or whatever you use)

Yeah I have an android phone and the web is just called browser... I don't even know who that's through. I mean my browser is functional but only to a certain point, if I need to I just boot up the laptop and do whatever I need to that way.... I was just wondering about the tapatalk

Yes, its better. I pouts funtionality back into it. No more resuze the screen just to click links. Try it out!

Tapatalk on my old iPhone 3GS is way faster than Safari, plus it's got a lot more better sorting, posting, searching features than Safari. Plus, it uses less data than using the phone web browser.

Im pretty sure that depends on your profile settings on the forum, not in tapatalk - so you should be able to set it either way.

I don't recall the cost of tapatalk, but I use it on 2 other forums, and it's been worth every penny of whatever I paid, IMHO.

are you on gingerbread or ICS/Jellybean? if your on ICS or jellybean you can get google chrome, its much faster than the stock browser to me

Using tapatalk elimanates some problems when using mobile devices such as a smart phone where using a mouse is necessary
in the web browser for accessing menu items where they activated from an hover mouse.

Plus I always get an alert on tapatalk for threads I am subscribed into and pms etc ....

I would definitely pay the fee for tapatalk it makes forum use on a mobile device fully functional.

Do NOT hesitate and get Tapatalk if you like your phone and have internet on it.

It is WELL worth the small price and it's much handier than just browsing. I recommend this to everybody. I just love it.

You can turn off the notifications btw.

I'm pretty sure it is jelly bean all my phone says is it is up to date.

you're on the latest version of gingerbread, which dosent support google chrome. if you go into developers options in settings and check unknown sources, you can go on a website like 4 shared and download the tapatalk app free of charge, or you can download it from a random site on your computer, put it on your sd card and install it from a file explorer, just be sure whatever you download as app ends in .apk
