Made a battery box and hold down for a larger battery. Extended the oil cooler lines to mount the cooler up where it will get some air. Mounted the Honda tach, not only for the tach reading, but it has indicator lights. Red for oil pressure, green for neutral, amber for side stand, and blue for high beams. I wired it so it will only start in neutral. I wired the blue light to the lights so I'll know when the lights are on. The amber is not used at this time. I may find a need for it one day.

Finished up the exhaust today reusing the stock mufflers. Tomorrow will work on the jackshaft. Should be moving on its own by the end of the day.

This is looking really good. Only wish they came like this from the start. Cannot wait to hear your results.

Got the new improved jackshaft installed. The first time around I used 3/4" with just the end bearings. First easy take off bent that. Live and Learn. Second time around I used 1" and added a third bearing support. Worked great. I could not come up with a way to make it adjustable for chain stretch so I'll just have to address that issue when it comes up. Problem is two different chains at 2 different angles. Still have a little tweaking to do and engine still seems a little too lean.

NICE! It sounds good too.

Now I wonder how it would be if you got some street tires and tried to make it road legal?? It would be so much fun running it on the back roads in the nice weather. Seeing as how you are in Florida, that would be most of the year :D

Android, Galaxy S7 Edge. Try singing off on Facebook. Might be security issues or something. It's a public video because I was able to watch it despite not having a FB account.

Even though it ran, it ran like crap. One cylinder floods out and its running too lean in the lower rpm range. So its time to go through the carbs. Here, everything is cleaned up, hosed out, and ready for the kits to reassemble. I'm not sure how that Spyder got in there but he wasn't helping me any.

I hate tuning those diaphragm style carburetors. Better you than me ! Good luck. I only had 2 and I finally gave up and ordered some knockoff flatslide carbs.

Here is the problem with this shifter. Its basically a piece of flat stock with a bolt through it. The shifter had to move sideways to shift into F-N-R modes. The spring keeps side tension to keep the handle in the detents, which I cut out. All this side movement made for a lot of slop. I took this piece of 3/4" shaft and turned it into a bushing. If you can swing it, I highly recommend one of these cheap laths. With a little effort and a few mods, they are decent units. I've made many things over the years for my cars, bikes, and now go kart.
