T/C axle alignment

Usually use C/C's on my builds...this is my first T/C.
Does the alignment over the axle matter if the T/C sprocket runs in front or rear of the axle drive sprocket ??
Just want to make sure before I mount it.

Either way as long as it is centered left to right, correct? I don't understand the difference of the TC sticking out rearward or frontward. Just so long as you have some motor adjustment front to rear to get the chain tight enough.

The axle has nothing to do with TC alignment. You just have to get the driver and driven lined up with each other

Sorry I worded it wrong...I meant T/C sprocket riding in the front or the rear of axle sprocket.......thanks for the input
