I have a 212 predator already with a aftermarket air filter, .37 jet, and after market header. I changed the gear ratio and it stalls very bad. So I just ordered a 420 predator because I wanted some bigger and accelerate faster. I just wanted to know if my aftermarket parts from 212 will fit on my new 420?

Maybe your Air filter.
Did you already order the 420.
There is a company on ebay selling Powerland 420 engines for 169.
A few guys here just bought them.

Lol, no idea how to make it accelerate faster, so you just toss it aside.

I admire your callousness.

Yes I ordered the 420 earlier today... I'm trying to find out what valve springs to use and how wide my jets to use? Its hard to find info on a 420 on modifications.

So what was the vehicle in question you are using?
What is your gear ratio(clutch and rear sprocket tooth counts, Also include a jackshaft tooth counts if you have one)?
Clutch or TC?

Your motor might aswell be fine, just a few things are the problem...

Fill in your profile so we can tell where abouts you are located.

I have both engines 2 420s and a hand full of the 212s, the part are not interchangeable, ver different carbs and and exhaust, i have a stock and modded version of the 420, u will be happy with it, i highly recommend picking up a 40 series torque converter to mate with this engine with a 7/8 drive belt, it can handle the power, 30 series wont, you'll keep eating up the belts, check out these sites for up grades they work well :the predator 420 is base off the Honda GX390

what a ride are you putting the engine on?
Predator engines are underrated that 420 labels @ 13hp, really rates @ 15hp
212 @ 6.5 hp, really @ 8hp
Also if you plan to do a governor removal, you'll have to change out the flywheel, either billet or a cheaper honda 390, the predator will cut loose and grenade your engine, it's not designed for high rpms.

Don't the valve springs float in the 420 too, before any damage occurs? I know they do in the 212. If they float in the 420, you will NOT have a grenade. I wouldn't worry. CarsAndCameras removed a governor from a 420 and didn't have issues.

I only got 5100 out of it though, but it's stock filter, jets, muffler right now.
