would this work?
here are the shocks i may use. i know minimoto shocks are probably not the best option, but they are cheap.
i may add something on the front too, but unsure of how to do this.
btw, the black dot is a piveot, witch i havnt quite worked out.

that will depend on the weight of the kart your weight and the exact geometry of the suspension build.

Those are crappy shocks, if you can get a pair of the front of a quad or a sled.

what would be bad about them? durability, or not good quality? i weigh 8 stone, but my kart could have people weighing 11 stone driving it. the kart and engine weighs about 100lb

No quality, no durability, no travel they look like they are a mechanical shock not hydraulic.

whats better about hydraulic?

Hydraulic shocks have a smoothness to them. Non hydraulic are just spring. Bouncing back forth. The hydraulic slows everything out make it smooth. Some are adjustable with rebound and compression. Harder compression is just harder to push the shock on. Good for severe jumps and bumps. Harder rebound is just slower return of the shock. If your using a spring without hydraulics it would make the kart bounce back up in the air with no rebound control at all.
