Yeah, zombies would be rough but we have to assume they are slow and stupid like raw animals. The survival plan there is fairly obvious though it really would come down to how long they can survive with no brains if they can in fact starve to death given they are the undead.

Aliens would be rough because they have greater technology, likely they'd pretend to be our friends first to steal our raw resources so it wouldn't be an immediate war.

I always think of survival in terms on what happens if we get a Jericho scenario or even if we go hunting for the weekend and someone gets disoriented.

we could reside in a senior citizen home and have them beat the zombies with there canes

No, you're looking at it wrong. Senior citizens (at least the ones that need to be in a home) are already slow, incoherent, and have skin sagging off of them. They blend in with the zombies, then you hide in the middle of the senior citizens (gas mask may be required) :roflol:

And then if the zombies do ever figure out the seniors aren't zombies yet, you won't have a hard time outrunning them.

gotta say id be goping around with a giant cross bow mounted on a truck

made from the leaf spring from a truck

I kinda wanna try this. Heavy braided cable, a leaf spring, and a winch. Oh, and one he// of a mount for it. Maybe fire some solid 3/8" bolts, say 18" long with stabilizer fins and a point ground sharp?

I have an old book that show it being done with a leaf spring.. But you will die so very quickly with that weapon because it is not a fast reloading weapons and is best used for long distance..

I've thought of this, perhaps I should keep the conversation to my survival forum. I felt i'd throw a bit of fun into this place though to keep things interesting.

I feel like a bug out bag has less to do with zombies or Armageddon and more to do with you having a bad time out in the woods and being able to get home safe and sound.

Basically the theory behind a 'bob' is that you have a bag that'll get you through at least 3 days of roughing it.

Think of any sort of bad happening scenario or cataclysmic event which would leave you without water, power, food, shelter, etc for that time period.

Its a preparedness thing.

Here is a link to an overkill expensive one...
