Surprised by a Shadow

It was just a normal Saturday, went to breakfast with the wife and three kids. After breakfast we loaded up in th minivan and I proceed to drive us home. On the way I cut down a gravel road hoping to find something worth finding ( metal or whatever ) wife was like " no don't we could get a flat" I told her to relax and not be so dramatic.

After being home for maybe an hour I start to log in computer, when my wife says " great job, all 4 tires are flat!"

I told she was crazy and relax. She kept insisting that I go see it for myself.

I stormed outside and sitting in the driveway is my Mom's
2000 Honda Shadow Ace 1300cc. My mom standing there yelling "surprise" I said holy sh!t you rode your bike up here from North Carolina....?
Great to see you Mom... She said I just bought my first Harley and figured I would give you my old bike for an early birthday present. (mind you my mom has never given me anything this nice, except when she paid my lawyer when I was young and dumb lol)

I didn't see that coming. My wife and mom had been planning this for months.
I like shadowy surprises.
Just thought I would share.

Thanks... I went from the kid who was getting in fights regularly, getting arrested, and having a chip on my shoulder. To being somewhat responsible, becoming a family man, and a nurse.
I think I now became the coolest nurse at my hospital..... LOL

Lmao! It was. When she got her Harley I was expecting her to sell the shadow. The wife is excited to ride on the back. The shadow is way more comfortable than any of the dirt bikes I have owned.
