These electric bikes should be confined to roads and off-road (not bike) trails only, in my opinion. Bike paths mostly expressly prohibit motorized vehicles. So roads or trails would be my answer. If you can fit on it, them you can ride it. Some municipalities require all wheeled vehicles to be licensed and taxed (of course).
