Kenny i was thinkin about that, i prolly will since its a **** track anyways. Im also gonna rig up a mototrcycle seat for an awesome ghetto freestyle seat haha.
The rear shock has absolutely no compression in it so i cut it in half and im gonna try to rebuild it haha.

That is a 1973 suzuki ts185, with an rm 125 tank and a kz400 seat, thats the seat im stickin on the sled i think.
I hve the whole kz400 too, its just in different places haha the engine is on my kart, frame is on my floor all cut up, tires are outside. That thing was one of my best buys last year $40 for the whole thing with 8900miles just needed a coil.

Sounds like my '82 KZ 1000 that I tore down AGAIN. Some parts here some over there, got the cases split right now to replace the cam chain. I got mine for $100 but it was purple and in about 10 boxes.

thats a nice lookin bike there Dave. I would have loved to find a kz750 or 1000 for that cheap, twin torque. The 400 powers my kart nicely though.
Little update, i got the track and frame back on the sled, i tried rebuilding the unrebuildable rear shock, didnt work out haha. Still plenty to do, probably be workin on it a lil more tomorrow.

So, i fixed the cracked hood with some angle iron so now its actually attached to the body, track frame is all back together, chain case it back together, I got some gas resistant sealant and fixed a crack in the gas tank, and found a cut in half uni that i might use instead of the stock no airfilter setup.

This thing's gonna be cool as hell ............. I still say make up a set of wheels for the front end so you can run it during the summer months, too.
For the hood, go get some fiberglass compound and some patches, and follow the directions. If ya really wanna be slick, go get some heavy-duyt cicken wire or "hardware cloth" (building materials section of Home Depot, good solid heavy-duty wire mesh), slather on the compound, press a section of wire mesh into the compound, press the patch on over that, and then slather on some more compound. Sure, the fairings will be a bit heavier, but a LOT stronger. Some guys also like putting big washers into the compound at the bolt-hole points on the body, so they won't crack the body when tightening everything up.

I might make a set of wheels, but i would also have re-jet...this thing would be a dog in the summer...
I was planning on getting fiberglass resin and cloth and doing the hood right but...lol i had the angle iron and it works fine the way it is, the lag bolts kinda look cool anyways.
Was just out there, started right up after a few pulls and some good plugs, was a little hard to get going and i had to play with the throttle a little to keep her going at first but after she warmed up she ran great! I'm pretty Psyched!

Not only did i get her running, i just got back in from riding her around. I didn't do anything to the skis, so it doesn't like to turn bur i'm going to buy a pair from a friend this week. It has horrible traction but once she gets going she cruises, with new skis it should glide much better too.
I took it over to my neighbors moto-cross course, and hit some jumps, the suspension isn't as bad as i would have thought. I'm pretty happy with it, i just hope the kid who gave it to me doesn't try to pull some bull**** when he comes to pick up his sled, since this one is actually running better than his now, she starts first or second pull every time.
Heres the video, i wasnt ridin too hard, dont think i hit WOT more than a few times, you really gotta keep weight on the back to keep the track from spinning, thats why i was standing up.

Forgot to put a picture of it up haha, i'm buying those skis from a friend tomorrow for $20 there off a polaris, and have no wear through spots and have decent skags on them so thats a good deal. Later im gonna bring her into the shop and go through the electrical, get the hand warmers and headlight working.

So i just went out to clear up the wiring, and i found that he had plugged the killswitch wire into the brake light sensor...which cause it to only run on one cyl (not sure how it ran at all), and that is the whole reason he gave up on the sled.
Headlight works now, wired up an ignition switch, gotta test hand warmers, gonna go take a ride in a bit.

No with only one cyl it wont even rev up, it just goes buuuuuuuuuuhhhhh, i had the whole wiring bypassed right at the stator plug. I cleared up all the electrical, headlight works, starts right up, my key works, runs great, goes pretty good, the skis are adding a ton of drag though, once you get going past 30 or so it throws snow in your face haha. I was just out riding in my neighbors motocross course...jumpin in the dark is prolly dumb, i came down from one jump thinkin i only went a foot or two, must gotta 5+ft haha.
Soon i may try to dual carb it, i got a couple carbs from an indy 440 (93' i think) and i can CNC up some intakes, run pre-mix, maybe mod the pipe. We'll see.
