Hi, new here looking to improve my 161QMK-B2 motor performance.

first off almost no one is going to have any clue what the hell that is... just say GY6 clone. Honda (Japanese) designed it for mopeds and scooters, then China Copied the design for cheap like they do everything else... which is why there's 100 different "brands" of engine that are all based from or carbon copies of the GX160/GX200 engines, and also the GX240/GX390 engines. Same said for the Honda GC series (horizontal shaft and Overhead cam)

The scrap pile is a good upgrade, as in get a better engine that doesn't have a legion of gremlins lurking and plotting.

Realistically there are not many upgrades that can be done to a GY6 because the parts just don't exsist. You can replace the exhaust, replace and tune the carb, that's it. Nobody makes a racing cam or aftermarket modded one. There are no billet flywheels to use.
Ultimately you can only grind a little in the ports, and tune them... then start praying it doesn't grenade on you
