Hey guys, first post so go easy on me. Ive been browsing the forum for awhile and have a question before I start purchasing.

My neighbor has a running EZ go motor (36v) that I can get for almost nothing. I was looking at what kind of controller I would need for it. Ive been looking on ebay and there are cheap controllers, but not sure if they are right. Looking for the cheapest I can get by with safely, as this is hopefully a budget build. If the parts get too expensive Ill just stick with my normal plan of a Gas engine. thanks!

I'm not sure about the specs you have on the motor, but I've been using Alltrax and it's pretty good. Just make sure you know how to program it correctly!

There are cheap controllers. But the maximum current going through them is limited. Good, expensive controllers made by Alltrax or Curtis can deliver a much higher current to the motor. But keep in mind not to overvolt a controller.
