I bought a pair of 18 watt LED 30° spot lamps and mounted them on the kart. Turns out they are more than adequate for night riding (off road only). They were cheap, so I didn't expect much, but they arrived with cast aluminum bodies, decent wiring, and a good mounting system. Seems to me I paid about $20 for the pair off the bay.

The granddaughter's kart has electric start and a battery, so the lights were just too easy.

We get 4 seasons here: Fall: about 1 1/2 months (this time of year), Winter: a month or so of cold weather spread out over two months, Spring: a month of nice weather, followed by a late freeze...2 more weeks of Spring....then Summer: 8 months of heat and drought.....

Thats not seasons.. I lived in Kenai AK for 3 years then moved to Sedona AZ back in the 90's neither of which had seasons.. Down south has "Hot" n "hot n humidity" and AK has daylight and warmth and dark n cold..there is no way id ever take that again.

4 seasons strong is a gorjuss thing, the smells of fall and spring are wonderful....

We've got all four seasons here in Michigan; what complicates our weather is the fact that we're surrounded by the Great Lake's. They complicate things enough that many seasoned mariners from overseas that have made one run to the west end of lake Superior or Michigan in the late fall swear they'll never return. Being in the north end of tornado alley just help's to make us feel like we're part of the Midwest.

As for the time change, we're on the west end of the Eastern time zone: that means we get screwed in the spring when we suddenly don't get the sunrise until almost 8AM. 'Tis what it is.....

Attributed to an older Native American:
"Only a white man would cut a foot off of his blanket, then sew it back on the other end, and think he has a longer blanket."

Is that the daylight saving times?

They tryed setting clocks back an hour here for summer

But most of us are argriculture and our day is based around sun rise
So we were getting up at 3:30 am and ending the day at 6pm

Not very usful for city /country interactions
When we have to wait 5hrs before the banks opened

Lasted 2 yrs and they canned it

We have all 4 seasons here
Remarkably evenly spaced

But every now and again one season jumps into the current season for a week or so
Like we might just get a casual hot week in winter or so forth

If it makes anyone feel better
The southern hemisphere is just starting summer
Time for the beach

But now work wants to send me to kartatha again this summer

In the tropics
Where it never drops below 35*c for 24hrs a day
And the humidity is out of control

Can sink 5lts of water a day without going for a piss
