I literally just "stumbled upon" this and thought it was interesting. I don't know if Popular Mechanics did it with or without Spider Cart's permission/knowledge, but here's the Black Widow for ya! It was an article about building a kart in a day I guess... (it calls for a seat belt *facepalm*)
i saw that article, forgot to post it here though... some guy built the thing for his son, then probably sent in a letter saying what he built, and they decided to throw him in the magazine. i can't remember what it was about that article that annoyed me, but i do certainly remember being aggravated after reading that, maybe its from my own experiences... can't wait until summer so i can have time to make a proper frame for my kart.
I played spot the kids toys as I was drooling. Also, in the first picture of the garage stuffed with 'vettes, I build a model of that pace car, exactly, a few years back, and was amazed that I "stumbled upon" the real thing.
Ew. The whole 'rat rod' thing has played itself out, it is all just a bunch of unsafe crap welded together for the shock factor. The more barbed wire and spider webs, the better, apparently.
