Stuck front tire??

So my front right tire is basically not spinning at all? I tried to unscrew the bolt on the outside of the rim, but it won't budge.
Any suggestions?

is it rusted at all? if its bolted it could have been cross-threaded and screwed on too tightly

Possibilites

1. Nut too tight, thusly making bearing too tight, bearing FUBAR
2. Bearing FUBAR, rusty nut

Cure? Impact gun the nut off, see whats what.

wd-40, pb-blaster, etc etc. more of a personal choice. never seen a wheel bolted on though. did you check for a cotter pin?

the front wheels on all three of my karts are bolted on...

dpaxson, what kind of karts? manco, carter and every kart i've ever seen has had a bolt used as a spindle. but the way to keep the wheel on was a nut.

they're home made. i just assumed thats how it was done on other karts too. don't race karts use bolts on the front?

i was considering using trailer hubs with 1inch straight shaft, expensive but strong (if welded properly)

every wheel should have a cotter pen put on after a nut for saftey .....trust me i know have lost several wheels on karts.scary when in a curve and lose a wheel..sounds like the bearing are seized up on the rims...

nah the fourbyfours 5's are a touch too big

you could heat the bearings on the wheel with an acetylene torch, and crank the wheel after its hot to break it free, after that pull it loose

its prolly just so frozen on there that it wont budge, il heat it up a little bit and try and get it to move. (my mistake it is a nut)
It was sitting out all winter outside
