Anyone in Texas had or have gotten your go kart registered as a Low Speed Vehicle ? Some states allow it some don't. I went to the DMV and asked that question. She gave me a form and told me to return it with the bill of sale. ( Waiting on the bill of sale. ) In the process of installing all necessary lights and stuff. I hope she didn't think I said Golf Cart.

Not sure about go karts but here in NC you can get a SXS for up to 55. Cue Sammy Hager 'I Can't Drive 55'...

I would double-check what they'll be looking for on the obligatory inspection and road-test. That "form" you were handed might not be all the permission that you need.
BTW: "golf cart" is not a dedicated description of either electric or fossil fuel carts, just a generic description. You'll likely need to fill out your form as one or the other, but the style is entirely up to you, as long as it has all of the safety equipment called for by the state. That can be detailed and expensive, but as long as you meet all of it, you're golden. Wish I could do it here in the Sunshine State.

Just an FYI
Motorcycle regulations are not as complicated as (4) wheeled vehicles in many states
...& recumbent style (3) wheeled vehicles qualify as a motorcycle (like a Slingshot or Morgan) ;)

Oregon requires windsheild wipers on all street legal vehicles with 4 or more wheels. Windsheilds on the other hand are optional.
Really? I didn't know that. My mom recently registered her Taho, and it had no windshield wipers, or wiper motor at the time
