Strange TC activity

A friend of mine on CLTC is haveing some strange stuff happening with his tarque converter, like a flipping belt and his driver stays ingaged a little. he removed the gov.

I'm thinking that the problem is that the driver needs cleaning. this link will take you to the page that shows his pics.

The alinment of his TC is a little off but I dont think that would be the big prob.

What do you guys think??

That little miss-alignment is a big problem. thats the first thing to fix. driver probably just needs to be cleaned otherwise.

I do agree with misalignment on the driven clutch. My main question would be has he been running the engine with no belt on the kart? On these series 40/44 torque converters the springs can jump out of place if driven without a belt holding pressure on the clutch. Jumping the governor can make torque converters rather jumpy but typically if everything is done correctly linkage wise it wont simply jump from 2k-4k rpm... it should increase normally.
