Everyone has forgotten something very basic...

Nope...I will say no more.

Ok... boss...
Nothing happened.

Then why is it that he cannot repair the the most basic of problems?

I figured this stuff out with ZERO help.
Can you not do the same?
I have no "special" inside info or education.
There are no "secrets".

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say what I feel what many of us are thinking here...what crawled up your @$$ and died Russ? You always used to be so happy to help, but now you just leave us all puzzled as you get a sense of satisfaction out of leaving us all questions. Can you please help him here so that he doesn't waste more time when you claim to know the issue? This is a help forum and not a 'belittle you and make you feel stupid' forum.

iduno i disscounted the smoke. i figured his crankcase was a little full of oil from running at low rpm and that it would clear once he got it up to wot for 20 seconds.

who cares its America. Buy a new one

yeah valves, not good with speling, and no, my dad told me that when he was fixing this old chainsaw, just thought maybe it would be something

White smoke is caused from burning oil, trust me I know, I burned used motor oil in a engine, and ran my dirt bike to rich, and snowmobile. Theres your problem. Can I get a thank you?


Running to rich (oil to gas mix)

i understand you're trying to teach this boy to fish rather than giving him his fish.

I might also add there is probably oil in your crankcase, you will haft to drain it out somehow, this happened on my pocket bike.
