this guy was on the other kart, my best friend took it apart to clean it up ~ 16 years ago (wow that feels strange to say; I'm not that old), probably did something wrong, stuffed it back together and shoved the kart in a storage shed. fast forward to sunday, we got the kart running, sort of, and discovered that the converter is sort of locked up, and after a quick test ride, fully locked up. (it did seem to upshift though while I was attempting to get it to turn around in the yard)
I need some help identifying bad parts and/or missing parts please..
And any suggestions on going forward would be greatly appreciated as well.
The pics are all from the front (Drive unit?). the driven unit still has the 3 buttons intact, but I can't lay hands on it just this second, it's somewhere in the gy6 mess on the work bench. It appeared to fluctuated between buttons at the top of the ramp and buttons floating between ramps, but I don't know if the action was smooth.
