So i bought this out of impulse(VERY stupid decision) and now im stuck with it.

So problems:
Is there a way to fix this wheel?

And it takes off when i crank it. Nothing is sticking and i keep the clutch lubricated. Should i look over everything a 3rd time or could there be something else?

Your engine could be idling a bit high, making the kart take off. The springs in the clutch could also be shot and are overstretched. This would make it engage sooner than needed.

It also looks like you are overlubricating your clutch, and also in all the wrong places. The only lubrication needed is a drop or two on the bronze bushing, not all over the clutch

:wai I do not think your tire problem is the wheel. You need to adjust the tie rod on that side to bring the tire in. I can not tell from the picture how much ajustment is left on the tie rod to that side. There may not be enough adjustment left, in that case you either have to add more threads (equally on both ends) tothe current rod or get a shorter tie rod. What brand is your kart?

i did go overkill since the kid who had it before me pretty much abused it. so now i see that's a bad thing. i think it's the springs as you said, i adjusted the idle screw back in and it's still taking off.

ok, i will try adjust it today. i put the steering wheel straight so i could tell which side was off. i already went through one brand new wheel because of that :ack2:

The one is lying on the floor?? How can you even tell?

:wai: I am with landuse, what picture? It still looks like the alignment is out.

:surrender:Please don't kill the messenger...I just guessing...but he confirm that I'm right...How can you both tell that is not aligned? I agree, the pictures are not enough...

I was able to guess since the first picture in the thread shows a huge aligment problem and the second one doesn't...

Yea, you kind of do need to have both front wheels on to align the front end or you need to have them both off. :mad2: To properly check toe you need to scribe a perfectly straight line in the center of the tire around the circumference and measure from center to center first on the front of the tires and then directly behind on the rear of the tire figure out the difference and then adjust until both measurements are equal. After doing that add 1/8" to 1/4" to the rear measurement and then proper toe will be set.

Even after he aligns everything... I still see future issues bout the steering...

If you happen to notice your inner turning wheel being drug, in a turn... look at this, It 'may' help.

:wai: If you are referring to the picture in post number 5, the alignment is still off. Straighten the right tire, as looking at it from the front and see were the left hub goes.
