Steel Thickness

I am getting ready to start welding my first mini bike. I am looking at using 1" square tubing x 1/8" thick or 11 gauge. Does anyone think this will not be strong enough? If so, what size should I use?

What type of welder are you using? Whats the amperage

It is a 50 amp Lincoln stick welder.

be careful welding the 1/8" steel. It should weld grand but dont have it too high or else there is a risk of welding through the steel. it should be grand though.
