Steel split sprocket source?

I've been looking for a good 420 steel split sprocket, but it seems they are all aluminum. Does anyone make a steel split sprocket, or do I just need to buy one and cut it in half? Is there any issue just cutting a normal sprocket in half?

No such animal as a steel split sprocket. I would get it cut with a water jet or a plasma cutter.

Not a big deal, my neighbor has a water jet. Should only take a minute to cut it in half.

buy one and cut it in half

Easiest way to go if the 6 holes are already in it for mounting to the 5.25" bolt circle hub, just don't split it through the holes.
