New to forum and just in the planning stage and I have a few questions. I want to build a kart that can be used for off-road and street, kind of a hybrid. I’m looking at using tubing, because I have a bender and tube notcher (pretty good @ using them). I have 1” and 1 ½ ” bending dies. What is the best tubing size to use (thickness/size)? I think 1 ½” tubing could be too big and maybe 1” is on the small size. The Kart will be ridden by adults and teenagers. I know I could use 1 ½ “, but I also want it to look proportional. I have a friend w/the same bender that I could borrow dies from, so I’m looking for the best sizing.
Any other insights/ideas on this build would be greatly appreciated.
