Hello. This morning I purchased a Pocket bike from Kijiji used. The owner said it was in working condition except for the fact that it needed a new starter coil. Since I am very new to all this small engine stuff(or even large engine stuff), I would like some help/a tutorial for how I would go about placing in a new starter. I have been told many times it's very easy, but I don't know which bolts I need to un screw. Any help is apreciated.

first of all you would need to take off any plastic covering the engine. then find the starter. it will have a wire or 2 running to it. most of the time they're on by 2 bolts. unscrew them and take the starter out. when putting the new starter back in, you might need to wiggle it around for the gears to mesh. its not as hard as you think

Well I just came back from the garage where I tried unbolting it... I think the bolts are stripped. Is there any way to open it now? I was thinking that you can cut a slit in the top and use a flat head to un screw it, but I'm not sure I have any thing to do that with. Any help?

Well I got two of the three out. The problem is, I'm having trouble with that top one and when I try to take an angle grinder to it, well I can't get it to fit properally so I ended up slicing the top portion off. Is there any way to get it off a different way? And sorry, I don't have pictures as it's currently in my friends garage.

sliced the head of the bolt off? only way now is to drill a hole in the bolt and get a bolt extractor. it should be a couple bucks at ACE
