Sprocket question and front wheel question

Just finished my drift trike. It has the 6.5 predator engine with 60t sprocket on the axle and 10t on the clutch. Problem is the 60t is just a little too big and the chain hits the ground often. I think I have to go down to a 48 tooth sprocket to get the clearance I need. The question is how much torque and I going to lose going to that sprocket and would it be a good combo. PVC is 10 inch inner diam so I am guessing out is probably 10.25-10.5 inches for total wheel size.

Second question is regarding the front wheel. Right now I have a standard 20 inch bmx wheel. Is it a. If difference going to a 20 inch fat wheel and fork setup in performance or handling? Or more for looks? Thanks

You need to get yourself an eyefoam so you can just flip it upside down easier

Anyway, you will be fine with a 48t sprocket because that still puts you at nearly 5:1. That should be fine for only 10.5" diameter wheels.

((60-48) / 60) * 100 = 20

20% Torque Loss by switching sprockets.
Assume you had 10 ft lbs tq at the crank. Geared 6:1 means 60 ft lbs at the axle.

Now you have 48 ft lbs at the axle. 12 ft lbs lost.
