The axle is 3/4 and seems to be an old manco dingo axle, the sporcket size is 54, and the clucth is 10 teeth. Just need some help with getting more top speed without reducing the accerlation to much. We have no governor in the engine we taken it apart yesterday fully. We also have no air filter with original carb, the jet hasnt been upgraded yet but we will buy and adapter/ air filter soon. We have a custom exhaust we fabricated its just a huge pipe welded to a steel nut then to the exhaust piece with we cut from the original exhaust.
What size sprockets do you recommend for 40+ top speed? with a 3/4 axle cheers for any help

You either need to put a smaller rear sproket or a clutch with more teeth. If you don't want to loose a lot of take off I'd say try a 48-50 rear or a 12t clutch.

He would have to change chain type if he is to change to a 12t clutch... #35 chain clutches typically have 12, #40 for the 10t versions..

OP-Im guessing you have #40 chain on right now???
