this guy from this go kart shop said my 52 tooth sprocket was to little for my 10" tires (tires might be a little bigger) and that the clutch is buring up:huh:

right now i have a 5HP on it and i have a 9HP im ready to witch over with a 1" clutch

would this 9HP have enogh torq to not slip on the clutch ?

not sure about the tooth count on the clutch :mad2:

it isnt the lack of power that is slipping the clutch it is the fact u are demarnding too much from it

the 9hp may work with the stronger clutch but i suspect the gear ratio is still too high

EDIT
i typed your numbers into the speed calculator and ..
if u have 14 teeth on your clutch u get 29 mph
which assuming u have less teeth on the clutch isnt all that fast surly

how much does the kart weight with u included
