spring throttle

does anyone attach their throttle cable to the spring under the fuel tank ? i dont attach it to the leaver i find that the spring gives it more power and acelaration?

thats because u are bypassing the govener.
there is a way to properly remove the govener and u proberly should.
some say its fine to run it as u have it set up now.
but others say it will cause certan death of the engine.
personally id set it up by moding the lever or removing the govener properly.

Governor = rev limiter.
No governor and a heavy gas foot may make a stock motor go boom.
The upside of the motor going boom is that you'll have an excuse to buy a motor that won't.

without a gov the engine will rev until the valves float or until something else happens (depending on how it has bean modded). with a gov it will only rev to the factory set rpm (usually 3600rpm on small industrial engines)
