IMO all you really need is the rattle cans, buy some galve spray

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Rust-oleum-Galvanising-Spray-/250702180519?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item3a5f03b0a7

It is a rust preventive and acts as a primer. then just go for a named colour brand, dont cheap out as no names react with named brands. Its not as expensive and you wont be spraying alot of things unless you decided to go into the spraying business, which means devil biss (compressor sprayers) and there expensive.

Go with the rattle cans, cheap and effective

ok, thanks for your replies :D
I found this in our workshop, will it do for an undercoat? (it says spray on the can, so i can use it with our compressor.)
then i may use this for a top coat.
What do you think?

I will get the hammerite spray most probably then, as it is quite cheap.
