Spindle Sizes

Dang it!!!! I've got my Kart all set up. I put my new harbor freight motor in it, a new seat, and new wheels. But when I went to put the front wheels on, I realized the spindle was a hair too small and the wheel had a wobble on it. What size spindles are out there and whats the best place to get them???? I wonder if they make a sleeve or something I could put on the spindle to fill the gap. Any help would be appreciated. The rims are 5 in. with slicks on'em.

I think the most common size is 5/8".

Yeah 5/8" is the norm..can also use 3/4". I used 5/8" bolts for my front spindles, and the wheel bearing I.D. was matched at 5/8" and was a nice fit...not tight, yet not too loose. What are you using for spindles and wheel bearings?

Metric spindles???

Son of a B! I was just told that the spindles and wheels I bought together were metric! Oh man that sucks! I guess I'll have to figure something out to make them work......
