Wow its been a long time since I have been on the site.

I picked up a yard kart for my youngest today, traded it for a little Chinese quad I paid $100 for about 7 years ago. Nothing real special but he wanted one instead of the quad and there are a few things it needs.

1. The front wheel bearings are shot. I bought a set of 4 on eBay for $10.

2. The heim joint on the "Passenger" side had a carriage bolt holding it on the spindle. I will get a 3/8 bolt and replace that.

3. The "Drivers" side spindle nut is missing. This is where my question is. I am not sure what size it is but it is right hand thread. I used the nut from the "passenger" side and it fits both sides. It is a fine thread nut. Inner diameter is about 14.5mm and outer is 23.70mm. Anyone know what "Size" I need to look for?

I have a feeling Fastenal wont have anything to fit it.

I wouldn't bother with them; at that price, thaey're more than likely chinese & won't last 5 minutes...

Unfortunately, that doesn't really narrow it down; it could be UNF but, who knows. Take the nut you have with you (obviously) &, if Fastenall can't match it, they may know who can; the least they'd be able to do is tell you what thread it is...

Good luck

Since this entire kart most likely was built in China I think I am safe. 99% of everything is built there now a days.

I will stop at Fastenal on way home and see if they can match up the nut for me.

That was the ticket! Got 2 for 54 cents each. Also stopped at TSC and got 4 bearings (Made in Ohio, that is still in the USA right? :p) for $2.69 each.
