Ok then if you don't re-clutch then pay special attention to the weight. Weigh it fully assembled and add the rider weight then compare it to the weight of the sled. You can figure out what speed you should gear for by seeing what the difference in weight is.

Thanks I'm really having fun with it. I just bought a bunch of shop tools including a south bend 9x36 metal lathe so that should make things interesting lol

Sprockets and jack shafts are ordered, pillow blocks came in yesterday. I'm working on turning a water neck for the radiator now.

i use #50 with 56hp sled motors. absolutely no problems. what would you suggest n1kogr?

i'm using dual #50 chains on the buggy i'm building now, with the 82hp motor.

how many horses does that triple put out? might want to set things up so that i'd be easy to add a second chain.

From what i have read over on minibuggy.net the #50 chains snap being used on streetbike powered machine from the torque. I would jut go with a 530 but that me

It's rated stock 116hp. This one has v-force reefs and cages, and ill be tweaking it alittle hear and there so probably around 120. #50 and 530 are the same size chain. Alot of street bikes/quads/dortbikes use 520. I think 530 will be more than enough. I had an 01 gsxr750 motor that made 110hp stock and it had a 520 on it

got the jack shafts figured out, turned the original sprocket hub down to fit my new sprocket, and worked alittle on the axle carrier. need to finish up the swing arm, mount rear shocks, and get chains and one more 12t sprocket and hub (tsc only had one in stock)

Good job looks good now here comes the hard/most important part. Make sure and i repeat make sure the pivot point for the rear swing arm is completely in line with your jack shaft ore else you will have problems with your chain adjustment
