This kind of crap really angers me. I go to a school in an nice district (Rich). Someone stole my dear expensive MP3 Player. It was sitting on my desk and I came back in an hour and it was gone. I hate living with stupid people. I am going to kick the moron who stole this thing's rear when I find him. Any tips?

Gee thanks, like I haven't heard that. Its a dadblame school. There shouldn't be crooks at school. I should be able to feel safe. I tell, you when I find out who took it, they're not going to be safe.

my sister lost both the ipods that my dad bought her at school, and two of my mp3 players at the gym... i came to the conclusion to never let her borrow anything of value of mine again.

Well, where did you leave it and who would have gone in/out of that room? Check local pawn shops and if it's there call the police and tell them it's stolen property. The pawn shop will have it all on record with the seller's name. My dad's friend's office was broken into and all of his computers were recovered this way. He booted them up in the shop and his company name was all over them.

I found a mp3 player on the ground a 3 months ago and I asked around and I turned it into the lost and found and it sat there for 2 weeks so I finally claimed it and sold it for $20. I dont thinks thats wrong, I had the thing for 2 weeks and still asked around, never found the owner so then I sold it. That isent bad, but if it was taken like that I would be mad.

Speaking of crime in school, my school just put in 6 cameras in the hallways, but they could not fix a roof leak. They have a rubber hose and a bucket. The water is eating away the ceiling, there is a foot by foot section where all you see is some medal wires. They dont know how to spend money. They keep having levys asking for more money but they keep getting voted down. They are gonna cut all sports, so I dont really care lol

Yea, how about getting rid of the security cameras and fixing the roof? And maybe sending the kids WHO ARE KNOWN TO STEAL STUFF to prison.

Soo, you left it sitting unattended in a public school, and were surprised that it was missing when you came back? Oh, but of course, it is everyone's fault but your own.
Amazing.

I dident steal, They were going to throw everything in the lost and found away and then still asked, so it would have gotten thrown away or it goes to another owner who can use it.

I completely agree, I would make me mad, but it was a bad move

No one gets away with anything at my school. We have about 70 cameras in the building as well as 4 rental cops. Outside there are about 15-20 more cameras in the parking lots and just overlooking the grounds. These are fantastic cameras which can read a license plate from across a parking lot. Thankfully, these have really cut down on thefts as everything is seen. That is crappy that someone stole your mp3 player, but did you really believe, in hindsight, that leaving it for an hour was a GOOD idea?

Couldn't agree more. Always has and always will be someone else's fault.
Sure, you should be able to leave anything unattended and come back to it. But know one can be so naive not to see what is going on in this world.

Fowler, I believe that BigHead was being sarcastic a bit. And I don't know about specific incidents, but with about 1700 students and 200 faculty, there's too much going on at any time to monitor everything, so POOF...cameras.

Not your desk.. school property.. and obviously if you leave something on a desk for a HOUR. somebody is going to assume you've forgotten about it. don't be so ignorant and things like that won't happen.
