I'm completely redoing my wiring on my off-road mower, the last person did a hackjob on the whole thing, and all the wires are rusted out. So heres my question, how do i wire everything up? its got a duel coil alternator, electric start and a 3 pole solenoid.

The way i think it should go is

Positive from batt to one of the large solenoid poles

negative from batt to ground

small pole to push button, other wire from push button to Pos batt terminal

other large pole on solenoid to starter

positive wire off of alternator to positive pole on batt (there is a red and black wire off of the alternator, im guessing red is pos)

Is that even close to right? also i have a amp meter, how would i wire that in there?

solenoid

2 wires from alternator

theres also a yellow wire coming from the governor linkage area, not sure what its for, does anyone know?

well for the solenoid it would go.

battery -big pole - other big pole - starter

Small pole - push button - ground or pos...can't remember =P

Stator is

4amp side - battery
high amp side - lights and amp meter

Yellow wire is the kill switch
