Hi
I just bought a set of sockets, but it has no case. What is the best way to organize them? i have them a in a tool chest, but i wont to be able to pick them up and take them to my garage. I was wondering if any one sold like a metal box to hold them? thanks

I have a 2x4 about 3 feet long attached to the wall with nails in it and sizes written below. Just pop it off and hang it on the proper nail.

I can't even begin to guess where the pics are, but years ago I fastened several socket-holding rails into a surplus military ammo can. They make the ultimate toolboxes. Anyhow, with the rails bolted in, I could flip or drop the box, and the sockets didn't go out of order...

Ahh- found the CD... Sorry for the image quality, they were taken about 10 years ago on a really lousy camera.

Just tilt them and they pop on or off. If anything, I couldn't get the biggest, heavy ones to stay on at times. Maybe I'm just partial to my homemade organizer but finishing nails, I think, with no real head, just allow them to slide on and off but not fall off. Different length nails for deep and shallow.

You guys would laugh if you seen my socket drawer. I just stuff it full and dig each time I need a socket. Every few weeks I collect them all and pile them back in.
