It hit me in Pittsburgh, PA around 2 PM and I didn't really know what was happening. I was blasting dubstep and thought the little shimmy I felt was the bass or beat or something. Like it somehow hit the resonant frequency of my couch, then my mom called saying she was getting the he// off the 60th floor of her building. Some of you down in the DC/VA/MD area had to have felt it.

I just felt a little forward and backward rocking and mistook it for the music.

Felt it here. (Toronto, Canada) Was parked in my truck near a major midtown Toronto intersection, having a late lunch. I felt the truck start to shimmy, and looked up, expecting to see high winds battering the trees. Barely a breeze at all. I said to my co-worker, "Why the f**k is my truck shaking?" "It's only the subway passing under us." "I dunno, man, I've been parked over a subway before..."

Two minutes after that, his wife phoned him (from 40 miles north) to ask if he felt it, and I turned the radio to an AM news channel just in time for the newscaster to say, "earthquake".

Hahahaha I love you east coasters. California is known for their earthquakes. I'd be scared of tornadoes there not earthquakes -_-

Umm, tornado alley is a little farther west. Maybe your thinking hurricane? In which case most of the east coasters on this forum are far enough north that they've died down by then.
