i thought that getting snow saturday was a joke... i was wrong...

out of school 2 weeks and its being used as a shelter... no power and it will be a long time until it comes back especially because the lines are ripped off the house.

im typing this at my grammas in NY.

day one... last day of normal life.

this woke me up at 3am.

my tent/canopy thing that i keep equipment under....

dont worry, if your weather is anything like what we are having here then it will be gon in a few days. We got snow last night and today it was all gon. The ground is still to warm for it to stick around.

That stinks how much damage you got, but i sure wish i had gotten some snow.. Snow is just about my favorite type of weather and I just got two days of heavy rain lol.

It's really surprising how much damage is being caused in Connecticut, we get snow storms like that pretty often(lots of wind and heavy snow), but all the weak trees are already knocked down .

the reason all these trees fell was cause the leaves havent fallen off yet. it wasnt even cold enough. then all the snow piled up on them and 50mph winds creates a disaster.

it has been 9 DAYS WITH NO POWER! (supposed to be back already) no heat no internet no nothing. so i got a generator. i did a hillbilly wire mod and im backfeeding through a regular outlet. im trying not to overload it too much but i had the whole house on for a little bit and it kept up.....

ran it all night long and it only used a few gallons. pics later and the wire mod i did.

i have school tomorrow....

Not only was it the most snow in a single day in October it was the most snow for the month of October 20.3 inchs. The area where Bluethunder and I live were some of the hardest hit, we had 17 inchs here. Over 800,000 customers lost power, we got ours back last Wednesday but as of this morning there are still 50,000 with out power and they may not have it totally restored before Wednesday.

i saw some trucks last night parked downtown. guess they dont wanna work in the cold. lol.

driving around theres still branches on power lines, orange cones around them.

it took the last 2 days for me and my dad to drag all the branches and trees to the side of the road. must have ran 50+ tanks through the chainsaw haha
