100% complete snowmowbile with (i think) a 400cc twin 2 stroke with twin mikuni carbs it runs great

it is a ski-doo bombardier i think its an 82 or close to that range

i dont have a title i was just gunna tear the motor out of it so i didnt care.. i got it for a steal cuz the city told the guy he had to clean his place up or they were gunna fine him

ill post the engine size tomorrow along with some pics but i figured id post and see if anyone was interested, i need cash to fix my quad

the motor is a rotax 377 ss

I am in Portland Oregon. What do you want for the whole sled? Trades? I got loads of toys.

What area you in? And what is your asking price? And your trade value if interested?

Does it have Electric start? Is it fan cooled? You have the whole sled right? Any gauges on the sled? And what year and model is the sled? Pics?

Thanks for your time friend. Very interested.

it is a complete sled

the motor is air cooled with a fan on the right side of it

it only has pull start

it also has heated grips

and the seat is in perfect condition!

the carbs need to be cleaned (smells like turpentine)

it is a (i think 82) ski-doo bombardier citation 4500 ss

the motor is a rotax 377 that i read is originally an ultralight engine.. the single carb motor has 35hp im sure this one has more since it has 2 carbs

the exhaust is rusted so it will need to be completely cleaned and painted but otherwise in good condition

the clutch belt seems to be in good condition

there is only a speedometer

i never got around to taking pics but i will try to get some tomorrow

looks like this one but no decals on it

im not sure on an asking price, im gunna clean out the carbs and get it in great running condition before i make a decision(or make an offer)

im interested in trading for a dirtbike, quad or go kart..
doesnt have to be top of the line or anything anything from 50cc up is good.. chinese brands are fine with me, or if you have a suzuki lt250 for parts, mine is not getting spark and i also need new tires

im not a snowmobile type of guy so im not sure if the skis are good or the track etc.. ill take some good pics of them tho

im in tacoma WA its about 30 miles south of seattle on i-5

Yes please get some good pics of the engine bay area. I need to see how the track drive and clutch setup.

Is the track drive shaft round or octogon?

Would you trade for a ATC100 Honda 3 Wheeler? Rough shape but does run and ride. Will clean up pretty nice. I got it from my uncle from sitting over 10 years. I cleaned the carb and it fired right up. Drove it around the block a few times. Then it has been parked all winter.

Here is a vid. The atc in the closes one to you at the end of the video. About the 3 min mark.

can you get some more pics of the atc?

chck the wires good. Also the kill switch. Also check and look for the tether kill switch.

Look under the sled to and see if the shaft that drives the track is octogon or round.

I am not interested in riding the sled. I want to do a killdozer sled swap.

Look what killdozer does to sled engines and go karts. I notice your sleds a little different set up. But I think I can work with it. I just need that track drive shaft to be able to machine down to one inch.

I should not show you these for you will want to keep it now. LOL

I will try to take a vid right now. But it is dark. I will see how it turns out. I say ruff by the plastics and seat. The trike looks to be in good condition. Brake chain and all that is really good. Starts easy as well. I value it at $200. With new tires, seat cover and plastic that would change to about $400 to $500. If we trade I can wip you up a seat cover on the sewing machine. I have piles of tires as well. I am sure I can get a matching set.

Depending on condition I have a DS80 that rips. It has had a full restore. We broke the kick starter though. I have to split the case to fix. It push starts right up and it in really nice condition. Miltary theme paint job. This was when just finished to scratches and all that are one it now. Still really nice though. I have build threads on this site and a build movie on youtube under BIGHEADODY channel. It is fast and needs nothing but the kick starter.

By looking at the pics you would not even need the sled reduction unit. You can just put the shaft coming out of the driven clutch on a pillow block for a jack shaft. To mbad the carbs are right in the way. Then just machine the shaft down to 1" with a keyway. I REALLY LOVE THE SMALL PIPE AS WELL.

Your sled is rated at 40hp.

In the pic below is the shaft that coming out of the driven clutch threaded into that end nut?

i tried unhooking the kill switch but did not work, i was undoing the tether when i noticed this thing is a ****ing spider nest i almost got murdered by like 500 little yellow spiders lol

ill check the shaft out with the nut (its under the oil injection i cant see it well but looks like its clamped on in a bearing, im taking the oil jug off to investigate)

on the driven is threaded with a castle nut and cotter pin as in the pic above, on the other side is a case where the shaft has a sprocket and chain that leads down to the drive shaft for the track which is a big sprocket from what i can see

i cut both kill and tether now hoping it was that, nothing, i unhooked the plug that comes out from the stator and plugged my multimeter into the 2 wires that go towards the ignition and when i turn it over i get power, but it only got up to 9v or so.. there is about 5 more wires that go into the cdi box.. im not sure which wires i need to mess with to get power through it.. im thinkin the cdi box may have gone bad but there is another little box between the ignition and stator that im not sure what it is.. and the spiders are killin me lol i hate spiders

this box, what is it?? do i need it to get spark?

this is the cdi

i unhooked the main wire from this plug, the black and yellow wires on the bottom give power when i hook my multimeter to + yellow and - black (the yellow wire on top is lights)

these are the biggest mikuni carbs ive ever seen.. alot cleaner on the inside than out

You say it was running? I would wiggle and check all the connections.

I got some more pics of the atc. I do have the tank. Connot remember if there is rust or not. I will have to look. If I rememebr right it has some but just needs cleaned and washed with nuts and bolts. I do have a new lever to fix the broken one. It is also missing the grab bar. And the headlight lens is broke. Otherwise complete and running.

Like I said I got it home last year. I cleaned the carb and she firedd right up. Oiled the chain drove it around the block a few times. Drained the carb and parked it all winter in the shed. Started in 4 pulls after sitting all winter. I was going to make mini bikes out of these. But I need a engine for my buggy I am going to build from scratch.

yeah the guy poured mixed gas down the spark plug holes and it fired in 1 pull.. but the wiring looks beat to hell.. im trying to find a wire diagram so i can do ohm test etc so i can figure it out.

i love that little suzuki man i dont know if you want to but i will throw in a quad project and my comet tav 30 series with the sled if you throw the ds80 in the deal

the quad is a 85 suzuki lt250ef. its a 4 stroke 250cc single cylinder, 5 speed semi-auto with reverse. its a project that i never get around to doin anything with it since i dont have a garage.. its missing the ignition switch and has no headlight, also one of the front fenders is 90% gone lol the cowl is good and the rear plastic has a crack but otherwise good, the seat has a small chunk taken out otherwise in decent condition has small rips along the bottom.. it turns over with both the pull start and the electric starter but gets no spark... im not sure if im hot wiring it right or not since i have no manual or wire diagram..i think it needs a stator tho, the carb needs to be rebuilt. and it doesnt have back wheels/tires, but has the hubs.. it has a HUGE gas tank that sits over the back axle and its plastic so no rust worries.. like i said its a project and i really dont want it anymore cuz i dont have the money to fix it but good parts for other projects.. could be your go karts rear axle and steering lol.. i dont have the title for it either

(sorry for the bad pics i can take more if your interested)

also the torque converter is a comet torq-a-verter 30 series, it has the driver which is for a 1" keyed shaft but i have a 1/2" to 1" adapter that could be drilled out to 3/4" that goes with it, the driven with a sprocket and bearings and an axle to mount it to a jackshaft, which i dont have otherwise its complete. even have a belt for it.. the driven has a ding on it... and its dirty and oxidized but nothing a little cleaning couldnt fix

I would trade just the bike for both the sled and the quad.

If the sled engine runs good I will trade you the atc for the sled only.

Or what is your cash price on the sled? and the cash price on the quad? (what makes you think it need stator?)

ALso does that guage say how many miles are on the sled?

I have truck and willing to drive up next weekend. Thats going to cost me about $40 as well.

Do you have any scooters? or mini bikes?

I would unplug and replug in all the connections. Sometimes they get gummed up. I even had to scrape the connections with a sharp tool to ruff them up.

on the quad i have no clue whats going on since i dont have a wire diagram, im not even sure which wires i need to test for the stator.. the sled has a bad coil the ohm is .6 im gunna hook a spare coil up to it in a few minutes to test it

i dont have any other toys i want to get rid of
