I just purchased a Yerf-Dog 1203a from Ebay.
The motor is a Tecumseh Power Sports 5HP
I ran it for the first time last week and gas was pouring from the air cleaner. Knowing a little about engines in general, I cleaned up the carb today. The carb seemed fine, everything moved freely and was not all that gunked up. Cranked her over today to find the same problem...gas pours from the air filter until it gets running good, then it stops coming out of the air filter and the kart runs great.
Problem I now have is this:
Back on the throttle linkage (don't know it's name for sure) there are 2 springs. One looks like someone bent a paperclip and stuck it in there. The other looks like any ol' spring from a lawn mower engine. My problem is that I took them off and not sure how to put them back on. When I crank the kart up, she runs instantly at wide open throttle. Anybody got any advice on how to fix this problem? Gurus out there, help please!
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
