Sleds??

Ok so today i finally got around to pulling out some of the sleds that have been sitting around the farm since before i moved here.
Only one of the engines isnt seized up. 3 of em have 2 cylinders and the other has one cylinder. Any idea what use i can get out of them?

Which one isnt seized? try putting some marvel mystery oil in the cylinders of the seized ones, let it sit for awhile then get a breaker bar on the flywheel or clutch bolt and try to un- seize them. You could use one as a kart engine, or just restore as a sled. What kind of sleds are they? pictures?

Pics tomorrow. they are all ski doos. Im not really sure on the years but they are all quite old. the last time they were registered was in 1990. Also the throttle cable and brake cable is stuck. How to fix??

For trails yes, you normally have to.

Are the cables stuck, or the actual carbs stuck? go buy a few cans of WD40 and go crazy on the throttle cable, and any moving parts that are stuck.

these engines would make great kart engines. the one that isn't seized, does it run? and which one is it? a 2 cylinder or 1? also what size engine are they?

on the one that runs do the basics you know check compression, spark and clean the carb once you've done that you have a general idea on how to get it going. basic engine mechanics 101.

ok so the single cylinder is 299cc and its seized. The one that isnt seized is 399cc with 2 cylinders and it will run......soon.....hopefully. the other 2 sleds have 2 cylinders and one is 399cc and the other is 499cc and they are both seized. The one that isnt seized i plan to use as a sled this winter. the other 3 if i can get any of em unseized will go towards a go kart or just for parts.

Ok here ya go. this one is the one thats not seized it has 2 cylinders and its 399cc.
