Sled engine in kart

Okay I have a older Skidoo 377 f/c that I want to build a kart around. I plan on using as much of the snowmobile drivetrain as possible. and was just wondering what the best way to do this would be? Would 1" thick tube steel be thick enough for a frame? I am new to karts but am pretty big into sleds so I do know a little about how stuff works. any input is needed. Pictures of sled engines in go kart would help as well. thanks. Grant.

Wow that looks very nice! do you have any kind of transmission in there for reverse or anything? What size steel is that? how's it ride?

Thanks, My brother bought it for the quad engine that was in it and that was all he wanted so it has just been sitting around and I thought I would put it to use. I want to make it a full front/rear suspension kart but not sure about how to do the front. any ideas?

Okay I have been looking at the frame and it looks like the guy just cut the back end of the quad frame off and welded it to the kart. so I was wondering how it would work if I got the transmission from the quad and put it on there then just ran the belt from the snowmobile engine primary to the clutch on the quad transmission?
