Ok so i just go about a foot of snow here and I saw a youtube video of a guy with a ski on his mini bike. I have a few skis from a indy 500 that I thought I could use so I could put around in the snow. Has anyone done this? Ill post som pics later of what I have to wirk with.

I was thinking about making a snow bike recently (we just got a **** ton of snow here too). I dont think it would get much traction unless you had a really wide tire/small track.

I think your probibly right about that traction problem but i guess ill find out when I get to that point. Do you have any idea of where I could get a track for cheap?

I went outside and looked again and the ski is to big so ill have to lok fr another one. While I was looking I got the idea for a snow chopper or just a regular chopper that I could build from parts I had around. I have a pic of the beginning of the chopper. The other 2 pics are of my new shed/workshop and al the crap in it.

They say no to the bike engine, why would they say yes to a sled engine? I would push the bike engine, say your gearing it for torque not speed.

idk I think they saw the size of the bike engine and they thought it was to big. The sled is a 1981 artic cat pantera and I think the sleds engine is about 40hp so it should work.

Drive across water with those. I wonder how they would work in snow? I'll get some pics up tonight of the buggy. I just made some cash so I should be able to buy a engine this weekend.

Heres the pics. It has front brakes from a 90 kawasaki bayou and hopefully rear brakes from a indy 500. One of the pics shows a drawing of how im gonna try to widen a motorcycle swingarm for the go karts swingarm. Let me know what you think.
