Simple work/welding cart

Hiya folks. I finally got a chance to get back on this site and start working on a project. This isn't going to be anything fancy, just a simple 3 shelf rolling cart. This is mainly to get some welding practice in while building something useful (before I start working on a go kart).

So to start, a pic of the materials:

At this point, it had started raining, so I had to get everything picked up (I was working out in my driveway) and run to get My mom and 6 year old from the park. I'll get back on it tomorrow.

So I was able to get more done today.

First up was checking all my cuts from yesterday:


After that, I cleaned them up and started welding them together:

Lesson learned about inspecting my welds so soon after doing them:


I ground the welds down, cut some flat bar for support in the middle as well as giving me something to bolt the casters to. Preparing to drill the holes after marking everything:


The end result:


I didn't get as far along as I wanted to today But that's life.

Thanks. That probably would have been a lot easier, but I wanted some practice welding since I haven't used one in something like 25 years.
